President and Chief Executive Officer
Mon is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Oona Insurance Philippines. His illustrious career in the industry began in 1982 with Ayala-FGU as part of its reputable management training program. He then joined Marsh as the company’s local correspondent broker in the Philippines in 1988. Zandueta also played a key role in the combination of Corporate Insurance Brokers and Johnson & Higgins in 1997 to form Marsh Philippines. He then led the company’s Risk Management Segment and was Head of Broking Operations for the Philippine office until he was promoted to CEO in 2004. After 17 years of continued growth and establishing various specialty practices in the country, Zandueta assumed the position of chairman of the board in 2021. Throughout his storied career, he has prioritized people and has been a friend and a mentor to many fueled by his passion for building teams and molding new generations of leaders.
Chief Financial Officer
Jean is currently the Chief Finance Officer for Oona Insurance Philippines. She has seen through the transition of MAPFRE Insurance to Oona Insurance in the Philippines and oversees the Controllership, Actuarial, Internal Controls and Risk Management, Treasury, Investment Management, Procurement & Administration, Strategic Planning and Project Management and Data Security. She started as an external auditor in SGV and has then built an extensive career through various leadership positions in both life and non-life insurance, including ING Life Insurance, Pru Life Insurance of UK, Sun Life of Canada and AXA Philippines, where she has served as Financial Controller for both Life and General Insurance businesses.
Chief Information Technology Officer
Normie joined Oona Insurance Philippines in January 2023 and is the current Chief Information Technology Officer. She oversees the overall IT operations including cybersecurity, Infrastructure, application development and digital transformation. In over 25 years, she has built an extensive career in IT, working with Multinational Fortune 500 Companies and other industries including Technology, BPO, Softwares, etc. Prior to Oona Insurance, she worked as a Senior Vice President in QBE Insurance and in Genting Hong Kong where she served as Vice President. Normie has graduated as a full scholar with a degree in Computer engineering from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.
Head of Underwriting and Policy Services
Tess is currently heading the Technical Team of Oona Insurance in the Philippines, overseeing the Underwriting and Reinsurance functions of the company, such as risk underwriting, pricing, portfolio management and product development across all lines of business, as well Policy Services. She has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and has developed and managed the accident, health, property, and casualty lines in insurance companies such as Blue Cross (now Pacific Cross) Insurance, AIG Philippines, and Chubb Philippines, where she eventually served as its Broking business Head. Tess holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Masters in Business Administration.
Head of Marketing and Alternative Distribution
Meg is responsible for 3 key remits in the business: Marketing, Customer Experience, and Digital Business—with the first two being crucial in building and communicating the brand, and delivering its promise of being a customer-centric organization. She also leads the digital business strategic arm of the company, creating new business models for greenfield emerging markets and channels through innovative and strategic initiatives. Meg has over 15 years’ professional experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining OONA, she held various senior level roles with FWD, Sun Life Financial, and AXA where she successfully formed pioneering digital partnerships with Lazada, Gcash, Shopee, Cebuana Lhuillier, Security Bank and alike.
Head of People & Culture
Noel leads the Human Resources team of Oona in the Philippines. In his 20 years in Human Resources, he has taken leadership roles across diverse global companies, including Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) and Xerox, where he has led key strategic and transformational people initiatives, and achieved global best engagement and stakeholder satisfaction scores. Noel has earned a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science degree in Adamson University and has taken further studies in HR Programs from the Asian Institute of Management, and Labor Laws from the University of the Philippines School of Labor and Industrial Relations.
Head of Legal and Compliance
Donna heads the Legal and Compliance at Oona Insurance Philippines. Prior to joining Oona, she has taken leadership roles in different multinational insurance companies, starting as an Associate at Soo Gutierrez Leogardo & Lee Law Offices until 2008, then as Legal Counsel; and Legal & Compliance Senior Manager and Assistant Corporate Secretary, and eventually the Head of Legal of FWD Life Insurance Corporation from 2019-2023. Donna is also a Special Lecturer II for Insurance Law and Credit Transactions in the University of Caloocan City College of Law for Academic Year 2021-2023. She graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (2000) and Bachelor of Laws (2006) and was called to the Philippine Bar in 2007.
Chairman of the Board
Abhishek is the founder of and helms Oona’s growth roadmap and development. His passion for digitizing and simplifying insurance and providing best in class customer experience inspired him to establish Oona. He has 25 years of experience across various geographies and industries. Before founding Oona, he was with FWD Group where he served as Group Chief Officer of New Business Models, and CEO for FWD Singapore. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Prudential Poland and held numerous senior roles across the globe, including Malaysia and India. He is an Economics Graduate from SRCC, University of Delhi and holds a post graduate in Management from IIM Kolkata.
Vice Chairman of the Board
Luis La'O serves as the Vice Chairman of Oona Insurance Philippines. He has been a constant figure as a Board of Director since 1983, starting with the Soriano-led Provident Insurance where he served as President, and later as Chairman in 1986. He then took on the Senior Vice President role in Ayala Group's Universal Reinsurance Corporation, before eventually serving as the Regional Vice President for Asia in the MAPFRE Group from 1986 to 2006, and MAPFRE Insular Chairman thereafter. Mr. La'O graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in BS Management in 1968 and obtained his MBA at the De La Salle University in 1973.

Raoul serves as a Director at Oona Insurance Philippines, and is a charming figure within the Insular Group holding several leadership positions in its various businesses. Aside from being the current Chief Executive Officer and President of the Insular Life Assurance Co., Ltd. (InLife), he also serves as the Vice-Chairman for Insular Healthcare, Inc. (IHCI), Insular Foundation, Inc. (IFI), and Vice-Chairman , President, and Chief Executive Officer of Insular Life Management Development Corporation (ILMADECO).
Director
Yen Goh serves as Oona Insurance Philippines' Director and a Principal at Warburg Pincus.Yen Goh joined Warburg Pincus in 2016 and was initially based in New York focusing on Industrial and Business Services investments in North America but is now based in Singapore focusing on investments in Southeast Asia across multiple verticals. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Yen worked as a Management Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting, based in Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors (University Medal) from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Business Administration (Palmer Scholar) from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Angela oversees our financial direction and strategy management across the Group. She started her insurance career in Malaysia where she was deeply involved in the rel-listing of an insurance entity and a merger. Her career in insurance has taken her to various jurisdictions including Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore where she has held both the local and regional CFO roles. She holds an LLB and BComm from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and is a member of the Malaysian Bar and a CFA charterholder.

Dyne is a Director at Oona Insurance Philippines and is currently the Head of Agency Distribution Group at Insular Life (InLife), for which she had brought a positive growth in the areas of NBAPE, Recruitment, & Agency Headcount. Her initiatives to streamline and improve operations across all InLife branches nationwide has vastly improved branch performance, efficiency, viability and customer satisfaction. Dyne has also served as the President and member of the Association of Service Professionals in Life Insurance (ASPLI), and is a Certified Public Accountant who has built a strong career in the insurance industry for 38 years.
Independent Director
Pedro Roxas is an Independent Director at Oona Insurance Philippines and is the current Chairman of the Board of Roxas Holdings Inc and its operating subsidiaries, namely: Central Azucarera Don Pedro, Inc. (CADPI), San Carlos Bioenergy, Inc. (SCBI) and RHI Agri-Business Development Corporation (RHI-ADC.) He is likewise the Executive Chairman of Roxas & Co., Inc. He is also the Chairman of Fundación Santiago and Club Punta Fuego. Mr. Roxas has extensive experience serving as an independent director for companies such the Manila Electric Co. (MERALCO), Metro Pacific Int'1 Inc. (MPIC), Mapfre Insular Insurance Corporation, CEMEX Holdings Phil. Inc., and Brightnote Assets Corporation. He is also a Trustee of Roxas Foundation, Inc. (RFI). He graduated with a BS Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA in 1977.
Independent Director
Valentino Bagatsing serves as an Independent Director at Oona Insurance Philippines and is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Investment and Capital Corporation of the Philippines (ICCP). He has extensive experience in investments, corporate finance, and PPPs amongst others, and has held various senior positions across South Asia, ASEAN, and North America, for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group. Mr. Bagatsing holds a Master of Business Administration from McLaren School of Business, University of San Francisco, including further education programs from Harvard Kennedy School, Columbia University and Asian Institute of Management.
